A new bible study diving into scripture about strength and motivation.

This study is designed to see the best inside of you so that you can make waves and move mountains. God calls us to be disciples of the His Word, and what draws people towards you more than your tone and presence? Let’s set the tone this week to inspire others!

As part of your Bible Journal this week, include a reflection page that you complete at the end of the night, that lists who inspired you today, how they inspired you and what you plan to inspire others the following day.

Day 1

Scripture – “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” – Philippians 4:13

God gives us all the strength we need! We are never alone! God knows our path and He knows who needs to cross our paths so we can inspire and help them. Trust God in this process.

Reflection:

  • Who around you need prayer and direction?
  • How do you PLAN on helping them?
  • Give your plan steps.
  • Who inspires you?
  • What do they do to inspire you?
  • How can you use the inspiration of others to make waves?

Day 2

Scripture – “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” – 2 Timothy 1:7

By trusting in and giving our life to Jesus, He fills us with the Holy Spirit. That Spirit is the root of our strength, our ability to love others unconditionally, do selfless things out of love, and gives us discipline.

Reflection:

  • What are your strengths?
  • How did you express love today?
  • How can you express love today?
  • What are you disciplined with?
  • What are your areas of weakness? – Pray to God to strengthen these areas.

Day 3

Scripture – “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” -Isaiah 40:31

When we renew our strength in Jesus, we are overcome by the Holy Spirit, to guide us wherever He wishes. He provides new opportunities for us, and we will never grow too tired. If you are feeling tired today, pray to Jesus to renew your spirit, your energy level, your compassion, your love, and your motivation.

Reflection:

  • Where in your life do you new restoration?
  • How does being tired and fatigued, physically, mentally and spiritually, affect your relationships and your perspective of your life?
  • What would you like to see different in your life?
  • What are three action steps (baby steps) you can take to get to that vision of your life?

Day 4

Scripture: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

Isn’t such an amazing feeling knowing that the God of the Universe is with us wherever we go?! You are that important to Him. In times of stress, struggle or doubt, come back to this scripture and read it until that stressful feeling goes away! Then pray to God to lead you in the direction He wants you to go, and ask Him to open your eyes to whatever He wants you to see at that moment. Everything happens for a reason!

Reflection:

  • What are you going through right now?
  • What is God trying to show you?
  • Read this scripture out loud!

Day 5

Scripture: “Let the king be enthralled by your beauty; honor Him for He is your Lord.” – Psalm 45:11

Let me just start by saying YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL! Don’t EVER let anyone, even your own mind, tell you differently! God made us in the image of Him. A lot of times, we are our own worst enemy. Our eyes look at others around us, those on TV and magazines, and our brain instantly begins to compare. But God us to make this way for a reason and no person or thing should make you doubt that.

Reflection:

  • What does your self-image look like in your head? – Write it down
  • Who do you find yourself comparing their beauty to yours?
  • On a piece of paper, write down I AM BEAUTIFUL Because…..
    • Now list at minimum three things (qualities, strengths, etc) that make you beautiful. If you don’t have very good self-esteem, write at minimum ten things.

Day 6

Scripture: “What then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31

Isn’t it so comforting to know that nothing can harm us when God is protecting us. Yes, maybe we may physically, mentally and emotionally be harmed but the things of this world, but nothing can ever hurt us spiritually. Our spirit is the most important part of us that we need to protect and nourish because it is the only part of you that goes up to Heaven. Let’s rejoice in that!

Reflection:

  • How is your spiritual health right now?
  • Where are the areas that it needs to be strengthened?
  • How can we use scripture and God’s promises to protect our spirit?

Day 7

Scripture: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.” – Psalm 28:7

It is truly a relief to know that I have a shield protecting me. The fact that I am worthy enough of God’s love and protection, I cannot fathom it. Rest in reassurance that you are protected by our Holy God.

Reflection:

  • If we could actually see the shield God has over us, how do you think it would change your perspective of life?
  • Who can you share the love of Christ with today?
    • Make a list of three people that you share scripture or the Word of God with today.
