Sometimes I feel like life is so much harder for girls than it is boys. Yes, maybe it is because I am a girl, but I also see a significant difference raising my daughter vs raising my son. Girls not only have to struggle with the constant changing of body growth and development, but they also battle hormones, the constant need to feel good enough and judgement from others. I feel like daily scripture is important for all kids, especially daughters. In the book of Joshua, it say’s “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it.” (1:8) Here are the daily scriptures and prayers I have spoken over my daughter, that I hope and pray you will pray over your daughters as well.

1 Timothy 4:12

Scripture: “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

Sweet girl, just because you are young does not mean you are not capable. You are capable of doing anything you set your mind to. I believe in you and God is lifting you up. I love you. God loves you. Today is going to be a great day.

Psalm 28:7

Scripture: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.”

Sweet girl, remember when we feel weak, scared, down or hurt, God is the source of our strength. He will fight for you, protect you, and guide you. Turn to Him and pray for healing and strength every day. I love you. God loves you. Today is going to be a good day.

Psalm 46:10

Scripture: “He says, ‘Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.’” – Psalm 46:10

Sweet girl, as you get older you will learn just how important it is to know that God is the ruler over everything. He knows everything we need before we do. Always remember to thank Him each and every day and to acknowledge that He is God. I love you. God loves you. It’s going to be a good day.

2 Corinthians 12:9-10

Scripture: “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. This is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” – 2 Corinthians 9-10

My girl, there are going to be times in life where you feel beaten down, sad, or weak, but know this, God tells us that in our weaknesses we are made strong. This is one of the many benefits of walking with the Spirit of Christ. God teaches us things in these moments of troubled times so we can use them moving forward, so we can help others around us. Stay strong. If you feel too weak, turn to Christ, ask Him for strength and the power to move forward. I love you. God loves you. It’s going to be a good day.

Jeremiah 29:11

Scripture: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” – Jeremiah 29:11

Sweet girl, trust in the Lord with everything and He will guide the way. He has so many plans for you, things you would never dream possible. I love you.

Psalm 9:1

Scripture: “I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds.” – Psalm 9:1

My love, everything good comes from God, it is so important that we not only remind ourselves of that but that we also take time and thank God. Think of what is going good in your life right now, write it down. Thank God for every single item, individually. Never forget God’s love for you. I love you. It’s going to be a great day.

Ephesians 3:12

Scripture: “In Him and through faith in Him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” – Ephesians 3:12

Sweet girl, it is such a blessing to know that we can go to God whenever we are in need. We have access to Him 24/7 and at no cost to us, only the cost of the blood of Jesus. Take advantage of this beautiful gift. I love you. God loves you. It’s going to be a good day.

Isaiah 32:17

Scripture: “The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.” – Isaiah 32:17

My daughter, as you get older you will learn to appreciate peace more and more. Nobody like chaos or stress, so people tend to move closer to the things that bring them joy and peace. Isn’t it nice when you feel happy? We need to thank God every day for giving us a place where we can find peace, relaxation and joy. I love you sweet girl. God loves you. It’s going to be a good day.

Colossians 3:2-3

Scripture: “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” -Colossians 3:2-3

Father, I pray that my daughter always seeks you when she needs help. I ask that you help me to keep Your Name of the forefront of her mind. Help me to set that reminder for her. I pray that no matter what others say to her or think about her, that she only focuses on You. I pray for her protection, health and safety. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
