God gifted women with the opportunity to lead children down His path. What a blessing! Every Monday I will share reflection questions from the past weeks reading. There is a comments box listed below for you to share your answers. You are not required to do anything, but it is an opportunity for us to connect.

I will also post a discussion board where your answers can be posted on. You are welcome to opt out if you would prefer your answers to be private.

Week 2:

I am always so inspired after reading each chapter. I feel like I am not the only one who deals with cranky and wild kids, and honestly, I feel less like a failing parent when I read this book, she motivates me to react differently and take a different perspective on things.

  1. What pages did you read this week? 1-7
  2. What stuck with you?
    • For me, here are the areas I highlighted:
      • ” Wisdom starts in the Word” (p4)
      • “God will give you everything else you are lacking” (p4)
      • “To be MomStrong is to understand what comes first. Our priority must be hearing from the Lord in every aspect of our lives.”
  3. Scripture
    • “Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey His commandments will grow in wisdom.” – Psalm 111:10
    • “This is My command- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

MomStrong moms know to ask God for wisdom and courage.

Week 3

  1. What pages did you read? 8-15
  2. What stuck with you?
    • We can’t give our children what we don’t have ourselves.
      • We can’t train them in discipline and biblical values if we aren’t living out those values in our own lives.
    • God’s word is our ONLY defense.
    • God’s word is true and unchanging.
    • Momstrong moms know the Word, and they respond to today’s challenges with God-centered wisdom.
  3. Scripture:
    • 2 Timothy 4:3-4
    • 2 Peter 2:1-2
    • 1 John 4:1
    • Proverbs 4:6-7
